Lane Unsworth is a very tall comedy writer and creative producer originally from San Francisco, CA. Lane produces for StarTalk Media, a pop-science podcast and YouTube channel hosted by astrophysicist and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson, and also works with them to develop concepts for TV. She is a 2025 recipient of a grant from the SFFILM Sloan Stories of Science Film Development Fund to develop her feature script, Hello Neighbor. Her satirical work has been featured in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Yale Record, Points In Case, and other humor publications. She’s written and directed a multimedia game show, The Talent Show Show, at Dynasty Typewriter and her sketch comedy anthology, Humpster Dumpster, debuted at The Elysian Theater in Los Angeles in 2023.

Lane holds a BA in English and Film & Media Studies from Yale University, where she was a four-year member of the women’s crew team.
